Gazechim, supplier of the first 100% graphene Spanish boat

Gazechim Composites has supplied the infusion materials for its G´VAC, Resina, gel coat curing system Akzo Butanox M50 range and Gurit Corecell M as the structural core, as well as technical consultancy, for building the first boat made in Spain with graphene.

Gazechim Composites has supplied the infusion materials for its G´VAC, Resina, gel coat curing system Akzo Butanox M50 range and Gurit Corecell M as the structural core, as well as technical consultancy, for building the first boat made in Spain with graphene.

In its facilities in Elche (Alicante) Graphenano Composites, presents its latest technical development with its own engineering, the Graphenano One, a leisure boat more than 9 metres long which will be launched within weeks and is the first boat made with raw materials doped with graphene.

The infusion technique has been used for this production process. The Gazechim Composites company has supplied infusion materials for this project from its G´VAC, Resina, gel coat curing system Akzo Butanox M50 range and Gurit Corecell M as the structural core, as well as technical consultancy in integrating materials and processes.

Corecell M is the ideal core for providing a combination of high shear strength with low density, high elongation in combination with polymers with high mechanical properties such as those used by Graphenano Composites to build the Graphenano One boat.

Graphene is a material that can improve the mechanical properties of polymers. Elasticity (elimination of micro-cracking), compression, traction, bending and interlaminar resistance are some of the improvements that Graphenano Composites has managed to improve with use of graphene compared to traditional formulas.
